Proverbs are phrases that may seem to have an easy meaning but actually are very deep. They give advice on different aspects of life. They may or may not be coined by wise men, but they indeed make others very wise.

One of the proverbs I know is, “A little axe can cut down a big tree”. It means that a small mistake can topple the hard work of many people or of many years.

A tree takes up constant effort and care to cultivate it. Some trees live for many years and may have witnessed many generations of a family taking care of it. However, a small axe can chop and topple a tree in seconds.

This proverb teaches us to be careful and responsible as minor mistakes can destroy years of hard work in a matter of a few seconds. It is something all of us should learn from.
