The first proposal crept in,

“Shall we marry?”

When we were midway-

And,

Desired a change.

“Why not?”,said she,

As if my words were like-

A Tiramisu cone!

Reluctance crept in,

“But why so soon”-

when we were trampling-

over dry leaves from the past-

discarded by other trees,

awaiting summer.

“It’s better that we don’t-

overtly indulge in something serious”

We collectively weaved a solution,

When we were passing by the urban morgue,

which contained half-dead bodies,

with throbbing hearts!
