The Lost Dolphins

There once were two dolphins

Who were lost at sea.

They swam about splashing their fins

All lost and hungry for tea.

They passed through many reefs

And on a rock met a mermaid.

They dodged sea plants’ leaves

And met a seahorse who neighed.

They searched for a map.

They needed a rest

Or rather say a nap

But they swam their best.

They saw a shark

Who had an enormous jaw

But luckily it was dark

So it was more interested in a saw.

Then they met a friendly whale

Who was in great sleep

But woke up and told them a tale

And dived away down deep.

They searched for a clue

And something to eat

Or some one they knew

And their house so neat.

They met many fishes

Swimming on their way,

Tasted all their dishes,

All through the day.

Then they reached their pond

And their own sweet home

Met the fishes about whom they were fond

And rested in their house that was a dome.

They remembered the whale

The many reefs and fishes

The interesting tale

And all the tasty dishes.
